Recent work.

Real jobs, with the finished photo first and the messy middle after it. Each one says what the problem was and what I did about it.

Garage shelving & workbench

Added garage shelving and a new workbench using 2x4s and plywood, secured directly to the wall studs.

The project

The garage needed more storage and did not have a workbench.

What I did

I built shelving and a new workbench from 2x4s and plywood and secured them directly to the wall studs. The layout added storage above and below the new work surface.

The result

More storage for tools and supplies, plus a new workbench for garage projects.

Faucet & water valve replacement

Replaced dripping faucets, unreliable shut-off valves, and drains on two bathroom sinks.

The project

The old bathroom faucets would not stop dripping, and the water shut-off valves would not close fully.

What I did

I disconnected the drain pipes beneath the sinks, removed and replaced the shut-off valves, and installed new drains and faucets on two bathroom sinks.

The result

Two sinks that no longer drip, with valves that actually shut off.

Double bunk bed assembly

Assembled a double bunk bed, including the frame, ladder, and storage sections.

The project

Assemble a double bunk bed.

What I did

I assembled the bed frame, ladder, and storage sections.

The result

A finished bunk bed, ready for sheets.

Toilet replacement & flange repair

Replaced an unstable toilet and repaired the damaged flange and surrounding base.

The project

The old toilet rocked instead of sitting securely. Once it was removed, I found a bent, warped flange and mortar around it that had softened from leaking toilet water.

What I did

I removed the damaged flange and cleared out the wet mortar. I poured concrete around the drain area, installed a new flange, and fitted the new toilet on top.

The result

A new toilet installed on the replacement flange and rebuilt base.

Dryer belt replacement

Diagnosed a snapped drive belt, cleaned out the dryer, and restored drum movement.

The project

The dryer drum would not spin.

What I did

I disassembled the dryer and found that the drive belt had snapped. I cleaned out the inside, installed a new belt, and reassembled the dryer.

The result

The drum was spinning and the dryer was working again.

Past project example. Appliance repair is not a standard advertised service; send details to ask about fit.

Condensate drainage correction

Traced a ceiling leak to condensate that was not draining properly and corrected the equipment slope.

The project

Water was leaking through the ceiling. In the attic, I found that the AC unit was tilted away from its main condensate drain, preventing water from draining normally.

What I did

I adjusted the unit's balance so the condensate could flow toward the existing main drain. The work focused on correcting the drainage slope rather than changing the AC system.

The result

Normal drainage resumed, resolving the leak.

I don't do HVAC repairs, but this was more of a plumbing fix with only minor tweaks to the AC unit.

Bathtub leak & drywall repair

Repaired a leaking bathtub, added support beneath the tub and shower, and replaced damaged drywall.

The project

Water leaked through the kitchen ceiling when the upstairs bathtub was running. I traced it to a small hole in the tub. The tub and shower also lacked support underneath. That lack of support contributed to the stress cracks and the hole in the tub.

What I did

I patched the hole and added spray foam beneath the existing tub and shower to reduce movement. I replaced water-damaged kitchen ceiling drywall, repaired the bedroom access opening and drywall around the tub, and replaced the bathtub fixtures.

The result

The tub hole was repaired, support was added beneath the fixtures, and the affected drywall was repaired. The updated tub fixtures and stages of the ceiling repair are shown in the photos.

Removed the old fan and installed a new ceiling fan with a built-in LED light.
